Egypt-specific troubleshooting

Things that can go wrong in Egypt.

  • Consumer VoIP (WhatsApp calls, FaceTime voice) blocked by regulation. Text works fine.
  • Western Desert trips beyond Siwa Oasis have minimal coverage on any carrier.
  • Nile cruises: coverage is good at ports (Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor) and patchy between.
