Camino de Santiago El Camino
Saint-Jean to Santiago. 800 km, six weeks, and one dual-carrier eSIM for the Galician mountain dead zones.
Why this pack
The Camino Francés between Sarria and Portomarín has 7 km of Vodafone-only dead zones. Most "Europe" eSIMs route through Vodafone and fail here.
The Camino Francés is the most-walked Camino route — 800 km from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the French Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. Most walkers take 30–35 days. Spanish physical SIMs require local ID, which pilgrims almost never have.
Our Camino pack uses Movistar as primary with Vodafone Spain failover — specifically designed to handle the known Galician mountain dead zones between Sarria and Portomarín where single-carrier plans drop for hours.

Sacred notes.
- Keep phones on airplane mode during prayer in the Cathedral.
- Solo walkers should share live location with family via WhatsApp — the plan supports this without restriction.
- Stage markers (yellow arrows) are everywhere; offline maps are still a good backup for fog days.
Best season: May–June and September–October. July–August is hot and crowded; winter is largely impassable.
