Why Singapore is different

"Singapore's 5G covers 100% of the landmass — but local tourist SIMs cost S$15 minimum and take 15 minutes of ID checks. A 1 GB eSIM covers a full layover for under $3."

Singapore is the only major country with effectively 100% 5G coverage. Changi Airport is the most-awarded airport on the planet, and it's the transit hub for South-East Asia and Oceania. For travellers with 6–24 hours on the ground between flights, an eSIM is the difference between "expensive airport Wi-Fi" and "Sentosa beach for the afternoon".

Our Singapore plans run on Singtel, which has marginally better Jurong and Changi coverage than StarHub. StarHub is the fallback for central business district 5G density.

Coverage you can actually measure.

We run Singapore on 2 carriers so your profile falls back automatically if one signal drops. Coverage figures are measured against our own uptime data, not carrier marketing claims.

Troubleshooting

  • Singapore has no meaningful dead zones. If you see "No service" anywhere on the island, toggle airplane mode — it's a device issue, not a network issue.
  • The MRT underground has full coverage on every line.
  • Some Johor Bahru (Malaysia) border areas are close enough that your phone may accidentally register on a Malaysian carrier. Set Network Selection to manual → Singtel.

Who Singapore eSIM is built for.

  • Layover traveller

Changi → Sentosa → Gardens by the Bay → back to Changi in 8 hours. A 1 GB plan covers the whole itinerary.

  • Finance business visitor

Marina Bay and Raffles Place are the densest 5G zones in Asia. Video calls from meeting rooms never drop.

  • Food hawker explorer

Hawker centres, MRT navigation, Grab rides — 3 GB lasts a full weekend of street food.

Questions people actually ask.

  • Effectively yes. Singapore is 728 km² of dense urban and industrial terrain — every major carrier has near-total coverage. There are essentially no rural dead zones.
